Outbound Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager required for the generation and development of outbound new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be a consummate and credible sales professional selling a sophisticated service to a wide variety of businesses.  The Outbound Business Development Manager role is focussed purely on new business and is suited to people who are ‘sales hungry’ and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills with effective and successful results.

Our Outbound Business Development Managers are responsible for:

  • Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income to an agreed target 
  • Liaise with potential clients through direct communication in telephone calls, emails and face to face meeting if required
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the account management team
  • Be self-managed, however, you will be part of a growing team of people with the same job title. Support is available by the Managing and Sales Directors for complex large pitches and strategies
  • Attend industry events and tradeshows, your professional manner will aid your intention of gaining new business leads and contacts
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline and ensure that all sales administration is kept up-to-date using internal CRM software
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation
  • Possess a thorough understanding of clients marketing objectives including their Return On Investment (ROI) objectives
  • Effectively interact with other departments including the account management and technical team when handing over campaigns ensuring you fully and correctly brief in all aspects of the sale
  • Keep abreast of issues affecting search engine marketing companies and the search engine industry and collecting competitor intelligence
  • Ensure that Click Consult remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients

To succeed in this role you will need to have the following skills/attributes:

  • Extensive experience in New Business cold calling
  • Proven consistent track record in sales using a consultative sales approach
  • Knowledge of SEO, PPC, Social Media and other online marketing channels (preferred)
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
