Losing Out On Poor Web Design
Many people sit with their hands in their hair asking themselves why their websites are not working as it looks good to them, they paid out good money to have it designed, yet they are not attracting visitors to their website and their business is suffering.
Essential points
The content of your site is crucial; the focus must be your client’s problem or need. If you do not offer free information about the type of business you are in or offer any tips or advice, you will lose potential clients for they will go elsewhere to find answers. The majority of browsers land on websites because they are looking for information. If you do not make people aware of what you offer and update regularly, they will not come back.
Take a hard look at the design of your site navigation; think like a visitor would and if you find that information is not readily available, it means your visitors will lose patience long before they read what you want them to know. You cannot throw flash sites and long-winded homepages at your visitors and hope to keep them interested.
If you do not have a feedback/review option on your website, there is no interaction, they cannot tell you what they like or dislike and what they think you should improve on your website.
Lastly, if you lack links that make you more visible on other websites, forums and online publications, this means you lose out on untold prospective clients. If any or all of these essential points are lacking on your website, the answer is clear why the poor design of your website is leading to failure.
