Why professional web design is vital

November 5th, 2009 by

When you’re trading online, or even if your website is just a brochure for your business, your website acts as your company. It is a reflection of your business practices, your business ethics and generally of you. Therefore, you want your website to come across as being professional, informative, friendly and above all else, easy to use.

Despite this, many businesses still believe that they can save money on their web design by enlisting a family friend, student or someone with a computer to do some web development and throw together a website for them. It’s a very cheap solution, can be completed quickly and doesn’t seem to matter one way or the other. Until, that is, you discover the fact that your website isn’t producing any ROI.

A cheap web design that has been completed by an inexperienced, amateur web designer may not cost you much in terms of financial outlay, but the lost business and damage to your company’s reputation caused by an inferior website can be extremely costly.

If your website is an extension of your business, and an ambassador of your company on the internet, what does your website say about you? Does it say that your business is professional and that your services are first class, or does it say that you shouldn’t be trusted at all?

Look at your website from your customer’s point of view. Would you want to use your services?

At Click Consult we’re experts at designing successful websites and we know what works, and more importantly, what doesn’t on the internet.

Low-cost web hosting do not usually have an ideal internet speed connection. This can greatly affect the number of visitors your web site will gain. Notably, people do not have much patience to web sites that cannot be accessed easily due to slow server speed. If your server is slow and the downloading of files takes a lot of minutes, people have the tendency not to revisit your web site next time they go online. And this means economic loss for your part.
