Is Cheap Web Hosting Good Web Hosting?

When you start the inevitable search for the best web hosting package it's understandable that you will look for those packages that cost the least amount of money but you should bear in mind that not all website hosting is necessarily good website hosting. It is certainly true that virtually every package differs slightly in what it offers and making a choice entirely dependent on the cost of the package may lead to a completely unwise decision in the web hosting package you opt for.
Your web hosting is important. Good hosting will ensure that you can provide the content and features that you want to and that visitors will be able to gain access to your site all day every day without having to undergo any long waits while the pages load. It can also help ensure that the information you store on the server is kept secure and that you don't put website visitors at any risk.
Even with modern data centre and server technology being as good as it is, it's virtually inevitable that your website will feature some downtime during its life. Whether this is routine maintenance or an unexpected outage the onus during this time from your web host will be ease of communication and professionalism. There's nothing worse than being unable to view your website, except not being able to find out why or when the problem will be resolved. Some cheap web hosting may have excellent customer service levels but it's vital that you find this out before you need to rely on it.

Most free web hosts impose advertising on your website. This is done to cover the costs of providing your site the free web space and associated services. It may be good in some case.
A site that is frequently down will lose of visitors. If someone finds your site on the search engine, and he tries to access it but find that it is down, he will simply go down the list to find another site.
I have had to make my hosting really cheap to a point i hardly make anything out of it at all. All because there are these 24 hour hosting companies around.
