January 15th, 2009 by

There are many diverse languages when it comes to web design. It can be baffling to the people who are not clued up about web design. So when it comes to making decisions about which language to use for your website, think firstly about how much money you wish to invest in this and how much time you have available.

It is advised that before any final choice is made, to do background research on the different languages, what benefits they hold for your website and what drawbacks there are that you will have to contend with in the future.

Different languages

For your basic website the most used and best is going with Hypertext Markup Language [HTML] for text and images. This gives a standard website look and there are many HTML editors available. Hypertext Preprocessor [PHP] is extremely popular and this scripting language can be embedded into HTML coding directly that has development for the web as its main focus and has a fast development time that is known to be faster at solving scenarios than other web languages.

ColdFusion is best suited to larger companies with web page creativity and web page displays and allows web page creation from information stored within databases. Java Server Pages [JSP] allow the combination of static HTML with dynamical HTML and with it full control of web page content before it is displayed in a web browser.

Active Server Pages [ASP] is the interactive and dynamic web solution from Microsoft and the major advantage is that it is can be used across all applications and platforms as it is language-independent.
The final choice of which web language is best for your website will depend on the type of website and your specific needs.
