Google+ Share Button

On the same day that Google launched its new Drive cloud-storage service, Google also introduced the new Google+ share button. This is something that many marketeers have been calling out for ever since the platforms launch, this button helps to take Google+ a step closer to providing a fully integrated network. Its fair to say that the Google +1 button has been around a while now, and while the share button is not to dissimilar in appearance from its Google sibling, the possibilities are very different. Google+ product manager wrote that “When your visitors come across something interesting on your site, sometimes you want to encourage a simple endorsement (like +1)… Other times, however, you want to help visitors share with their friends, right away. Today’s new Google+ Share button lets you do just that.” The share capabilities will allow users to choose specific circles that they would like to share content with, and also comment on it.

I hate to sound downbeat, but this button is nothing revolutionary, in fact its quite the contrary. To you and I it may seem like a basic social function, after all a core aspect of social media platforms is that it allows us to do online what we would offline, and that is share. Google+’s adversary Facebook already have share buttons spread throughout the web, and now Google+ have joined in on the action. Finally allowing website owners to promote their content as sharable material on the Google+ network, not just merely giving them a virtual high five by hitting the +1 button. Again, I hate to sound adverse to Google+, however as a Daddy’s girl I was always told never to settle for anything less than butterflies and I’m afraid that Google+ doesn’t cut it for me personally, just yet. However I am not naive enough to underestimate the search giant, and I wait with great enthusiasm to see what this giant has up its sleeve. As a Google+ user, I'm interested to find out what you like to see on the platform?

Interesting article about Google +. Actually, I think Google wants to compete with Facebook + in the medium of social networks, but Facebook ahead of the giant. I do not know what Google will do in the future, either drop or competing ideas to improve its current service. For my part, I use Google + to share my articles in order to enjoy more on knowledge of online website marketing.
