Don't Neglect Bing

A major mistake being committed by many search engine optimisation professionals is the act of sidelining Bing, whilst putting all their efforts solely into optimising for Google. You may ask yourself if this is the right move - after all Google is the market leader, aren’t they? In short, although Google does lead in the search engine sector choosing to ignore Bing is not the way to go. It is still important to optimise for Google. They have the bulk of the market share and monopolise the searches. You will also be guaranteed that your traffic will increase if you get to the top of the first page, but these are not good enough reasons to ignore newcomer Bing.

According to statistics on comScore in March this year Bing has steadily increased its hold on the market share month by month, and this upward trend has been a constant for the past twelve months; hence why your web marketing campaign shouldn't neglect this newcomer.

Most SEO professionals concur that there is less competition to get onto the first page of Bing search results and the increase in market share enjoyed by Bing is likely to continue. There are arguments to say that achieving a top spot on Bing’s page one will get you more traffic than a spot at the bottom of Google’s page one.

At internet marketing company Click Consult, we can help with all your SEO issues and ensure that your site is fully optimised for all search engines.
