Stay On Topic To Improve SEO Results

When search engines index websites they are specifically looking for high quality pages, and high quality websites that offer relevant and unique content to their visitors. While the search engines do use numerous factors to determine the relevance of a page, they also consider the topic of the whole site making site relevance a factor in your SEO campaign.
Every web page should have a specific topic in mind, utilising the most relevant and targeted keywords in order to ensure greater SEO success. The website in general should also concentrate on relevancy to further bolster your efforts. While there will obviously be some deviance between the exact topics of each page there should also be a general topic to bind the whole site.
Good pagination and categorisation helps to keep a website's goals focused. Furthermore, in doing so, it also helps to ensure that visitors remained equally focused and follow the desired path around the website. Relevancy is one of the most important words in an SEO campaign and should be considered in every stage of the process from keyword research to link building.
Use the home page as the top level page that essentially summarises everything you and your website offers. Each page should then be clearly defined and labelled with distinct links being placed in relevant positions around the site. While blogs and similar sites are less formal they still require a general topic otherwise visitors and search engines alike will be confused as to what you actually offer.
