What is organic and natural SEO?
Organic or natural Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is one hugely important way to bring traffic to your website. This simply means that you will not be paying for your traffic directly (like with PPC) but instead will rely on the increase of web presence to bring about traffic. However, this does not mean that the way to gain organic SEO is free.
Onsite Organic SEO techniques
Organic SEO relies on the major search engines like Google and Yahoo! and their algorithms to bring up results corresponding to a search term. Thus, one of the most important things in organic SEO is through the building of a search engine friendly website. A great way to do this if you don't know a great deal about SEO is to bring in a professional SEO company as they have the expertise to bring results and take the hassle out of your hands.
This is by using the appropriate keywords in Meta tags, HTML codes and page index. Domain age also plays a role in that the older it is, the more likely it is to get higher the page rankings. Then it will look at the content and the architecture of the website. Content has to be valuable and relevant to the searcher. Thus, one of the best ways to increase your web presence is through updating news and your business blogs.
Offsite Organic SEO techniques
Offsite techniques refer to ways to drive traffic through other websites. Once again, content is key and the best way to do this is to submit valuable articles to article submission sites. You may also create a blog somewhere else and link back to your site, but be careful it doesn't look spammy. Finally, forum posting can also be useful provided that you do not spam and ensure that you build up a good reputation by posting relevant, knowledgeable and useful observations and advice.
