Doing it yourself means that you need to become an SEO and start studying every aspect of this unique marketing approach. Study resource websites, read ebooks, and then determine which of those resources offer genuine and useful information rather than filler that is employed solely for the purpose of improving their own SEO efforts.
Search engine optimisation takes time and effort. There are no short cuts or guarantees of success, especially not when starting out. This means that hard work and genuine SEO techniques will win the day. Link building will become a major part of your everyday life and you'll soon start to talk about indexing and spiders like you truly love them.
The DIY approach to SEO can be a long and even tortuous one but SEO provides the benefits that more than make up for the time and effort (or money, if you use a professional SEO service) you invest. Start properly by doing your research into the topic of SEO and once that's complete you can move on to researching your own SEO campaign.
