A SEO agency worth their salt generally isn't the cheapest option, at the end of the day though you have to ‘spend some to get some’. Going with ‘cheap’ SEO companies will most likely cost you money in the long run, for a host of reasons, one being that you don’t want to end up with a half finished campaign and nobody to run it for you. You get what you pay for at the end. Headaches included. Good SEO costs money because it takes a lot of hard work by SEO programmers, copywriters, technical team and many other people to make it a success.
A quality SEO company will be a huge investment for your online business which will pay off over time, and keep paying off long into the future. If you want to find a good SEO agency, there are questions you need to ask of them.
Have they reviewed your website and given you full report that highlights problems and where you need to improve? Have they discussed keywords and given you suggestions? Have they identified any possible gaps in the market? Have they put together a comprehensive strategy?
Have any campaign ideas been discussed? Have they put together a plan to monitor results, including feedback reports? Who will keep track of the traffic to your site and who will interpret these results?
If your current SEO consultant is not clear with you about their services then you may need to get together with them and re visit your strategy. You may need to decide whether or not to continue with them, at most you should be able to ascertain if you are getting value for your monthly stipend.
