Adding Your Own SEO Article Directory

SEO articles is a term that is commonly applied to articles, or pages of content, that are written in order to appeal to search engines. The best SEO articles will also provide informative content for human readers but they include SEO keywords and semantically related keywords in order that the search engine spiders can relate the page to a specific keyword or topic and the search engine can then rank them accordingly. Many sites have benefited from the inclusion of their own SEO article directory because this can be used to offer many pages utilising various keywords.

Some websites include their own article directory without specifically having set out to do so. Any paginated collection of articles or content pages on a website could be considered an article directory. The effects will certainly be the same in terms of SEO providing the website owner or publisher puts in the effort to create and publish fresh, unique content pages. Doing so can generate a good range of SEO benefits.
A typical website can target a great many keywords. Even the most targeted of niche websites can normally benefit from the use of many different keywords. The problem is that a three or four page website can only effectively incorporate so many keywords and so one of the greatest SEO challenges is finding a way to target more keywords properly. An article directory allows for the regular addition of new content and the targeting of yet more keywords answering the SEO call in both respects.

Adding new pages will also mean that search engine spiders will come crawling back to your site more frequently. When spiders first visit your page they will allow a set amount of time before visiting again. If they find that more pages have been added then they will shorten the gap before their next visit and so on with each visit. Adding pages on a daily basis may well lead to having each new page indexed on the day, or the day after, they are added to your website.

A true article directory allows the inclusion of articles written and submitted by other authors or publishers. These articles typically allow the write the privilege of including a little information about themselves or a link to their own website. Whether you choose to open your article directory up to visitor created content is entirely up to you but it can help to populate a website, create new pages with keywords you haven't yet targeted, and it can turn an ordinary website into an authority site given time.
Article directories are a true powerhouse of SEO. Ensuring that each article is well written, includes relevant SEO keywords and is completely unique will generate the best results. Consider adding a directory to your own site and frequently publishing new material in order to really get the search engine spiders crawling and the SEO visitors clicking.
