Tap Into The Facebook Phenomena
August 20th, 2010 by Laura
PPC managers cannot afford to overlook the massive potential that social networking sites offer to their pay per click campaigns. Facebook in particular continues to grow from strength to strength and offers a great platform for PPC ads. If you take time to understand how best to work your PPC ads on Facebook then the rewards can be substantial. Here are more ways you can capitalise on this massive Facebook audience:
Use the allotted advertising space to your utmost advantage
On Facebook you can use up to 25 characters for your ad title and a further 135 characters to write the body of the ad. Google similarly offers 25 characters for the title of the ad, however there are only 105 characters up for grabs for the ad’s main body. This is split further between 70 characters for the text and 35 to make up the display URL. Take full advantage of the space on offer by Facebook and use information you know will encourage clicks.
Use reports to monitor the ad performance within the Ads Manager in Facebook
This offers a great resource and you can also access further data in Facebook reports. Through the data you can determine how many people looked at your ad, how many went on to click on it and the overall click through rate. It will also highlight your spend and provide a breakdown of users who saw the ad and who clicked on it.
At Click Consult we can help you to capitalise in social media and enhance your PPC campaigns.
