Wars teach us not to love our enemies, but to hate our allies.

What a wonderful opportunity to get educated. Just create your own iGoogle home page and you can receive a variety of information from a number of sources. And if you don't like it, just fill the page with lots of mini computer games.
I love my page, I can read famous quotes and laugh at myself and humanity, learn something new about science, use the dictionary for those unruly words and learn unique and rare used word each day. I can even get news, weather forecasts from around the world just by using the magic wand of my will.
That’s great! But is it…?
As we live in a capitalist society, we obviously exist for all the wrong reasons- eat, sleep, party, consume and reproduce. There is nothing or almost nothing else.
iGoogle could be considered to be a tiny window into the wider world (if you choose right options), but it’s not. Everything that was created by huge corporations these days is designed to deprive us from choice, to direct us to the most profitable source.
News sources are bias, natural links are based on SEO and not on validity of information and the majority of online traffic is consumption targeted.
So the question is, are we in the age of technology on a level of our technology as a person? Hard to say, as the next generation will probably worry more about a T-shirt label than about human values, and it’s a pity.
