Click Consult is inspirational in the launch of the Search Marketing Charter
October 4th, 2007 by Nick
I am posting this blog because since starting in search I am astounded by some of the PPC accounts Click Consult gets from other agencies. In all honesty, some of the work could be done by a five year old.
There are some agencies that I know of that do produce some good work, but there are two particular PPC management companies that I know of which produce terrible work. I just, for the life of me, don’t know how Google, Yahoo and MSN allow them to submit such poor work into their engines.
At the beginning of the year I came up with the idea of a PPC Code Of Conduct which would allow all agencies to adhere to best practice management within Online Marketing. As Head Of Search for Click Consult I sit on the UK Search Council at the IAB (http://www.iabuk.net/en/1/searchcharter.mxs) so I approached them with the idea. On the 16th August the Search Marketing Charter was finally launched. All Advertising Agencies who adhere to best practice advertising will have this logo on their website. Hopefully this will weed out these poor PPC Management companies.
