Google’s Product Manager deals in Real Estate: is this ethical?
November 7th, 2007 by Nick
Google's Product Manager, Tom Leung from Seattle, is responsible for the new developments that occur on the Google platform, involving Adwords, Web Optimiser and Analytics. However, despite his seniority within the search giant, he and his wife Wendy run a real estate business at www.wendyinseattle.com. With Tom's inside knowledge of Google does this put them at an advantage over their competitors?
Some would say this is unethical, and anyone working for Google is surely earning enough and living the lap of luxury.
I have checked out the listings myself and I can’t personally see the website appearing for the natural listings or sponsored links for both, however it does beg the question as to what information could be taken out of the confines of Google and used to a commercial benefit.
