Improving the CTR of a Pay Per Click advertising campaign helps to improve your return on investment and can also reduce the final amount you are required to pay for each click receive to your website. There are several ways to improve the CTR, but you should always take care to ensure that it doesn't damage your overall PPC campaign performance.
The ad copy itself plays a critical part in determine your CTR. Good copy that is appealing and qualifies visitors not only ensures that you get a good CTR but that visitors are qualified and targeted so are more likely to be responsive when they reach the pages of your website. The copy of the ad should include the keywords you are targeting as well as compelling ad content.
The ad title is the first thing that most searchers will see and many of them will click an ad based almost entirely on their perception of the title without even looking at the rest of the ad. This means that an effective and powerful title will help to generate very positive click through rates for your advertisements.
Ensuring that you use the most targeted keywords when bidding on a PPC campaign further ensures that your CTR will be as high as possible. Keywords that are used in the search that a surfer enters are highlighted in bold and again this means that more eyes will be diverted to your advertisement in preference to any others and even in preference to the organic search results that are served on the same page.
