Turning nothing into something with an Online Press Release

An online press release can generate much needed publicity for your company and lead some strong web traffic straight to your company website. The benefits are great and the process is relatively easy in theory but writing an online press release is far from it.
Online press releases are fine tuned mean machines designed to get people to sit up and notice you. Unfortunately, the entire world has cottoned onto this idea so you need to make your press release worth reading for your audience.
And no, your new mascot is not going to do the trick for you there. Readers want something that is newsworthy and offers them value for their time. So where does that leave you and your online press release plight?
Writing up a storm from scratch
You need something that is news, something that is interesting and something that will get attention and keep it right away. Easier said that done, or is it? You may be despairing by now because something interesting doesn’t happen often enough.
There you are wrong. You just need to know how to tap into your readers. One of the greatest publicity churners is the gossipmonger.
Everybody loves a good piece of gossip. Why not turn that to your advantage by bringing out a best of list, or a top ten list. People love lists and they love to see who comes in first and who falls in last place. Generate online publicity by hosting something annually. Presto! You have an annual reason for a press release. Press releases sometimes require you to makes something out of nothing in order to get attention.
