Keywords aren’t enough for Online Press Releases
July 30th, 2009 by Susie
Optimisation is what it is all about these days. You need to optimise your business strategies in the face of tough economic times. You need to optimise your marketing strategies to get the most from your advertising budget. You need to optimise your website so that you will get as much visibility as possible. This is why so many businesses bring in a good internet marketing agency to get their strategies on the right track.
And now you also need to optimise your online press releases so that they can draw as much attention to you as possible. Yes, optimisation is key to any success but it is not necessarily going to be easy. If you think that you can shove a few keywords that you think up on the spot into your press release, think again. Doing so and hoping for the best is not going to get you anywhere in online visibility at a very fast pace.
They key to your press release success
Keywords help but that is not the be all and end all of online press release optimization. There is more to it than that. Anchor text. Otherwise known as links that are keyword rich. These help your website optimisation and they provide you with great back links to your website landing page. So use your anchor text wisely and effectively. Tag your press release.
Use social bookmark tags or Technorati tags at the end of your online press release. Valuable track backs are created when readers click on those tags and this helps improve the popularity of your links. Keywords for your press release are good and dandy but they are not going to help non-optimised content.
That’s right, you need to optimise your landing page web content. And you need to do it with the right density of the same keywords used for your online press release.

Good information about press releases. I haven’t still tried doing it, but maybe as soon as I’ve come to understand how it should be done and how it can impact my website promotion, i will surely implement it. Thanks for a bunch of information here.
It is great to know what makes a press release effective so I also enjoyed the related posts you recommended. I have always bookmarked my other two sites but don’t know how to do it in wordpress yet. As for the landing place, I have no idea how to do that yet either.
