Including Contact Details In Online Press Releases

When you consider that online press releases should not include any direct marketing message, the contact details that you can include in a release become even more important because these essentially become a major part of the marketing process. Online press releases typically allow for the publication of your contact details in two areas – the very top of the press release and in the final paragraph where you can also include a link to your website.
Even if you conduct the majority of your business on the Internet you should include a phone number and snail mail address as part of your contact details. Many surfers will only be willing to use these forms of communication to contact you and if you do not include the appropriate details then you run the very real risk of losing potential customers through the omission of a phone number. You may also include an email address and website address, with a full text link being an option in many online press release directories.
Contact details are vital to good press release distribution. You should ensure that you offer not just an email address and a website link but also a physical mailing address and a phone or fax number. A lot of press release readers may require quick information and they will be more inclined to use the phone number than to use your email address or visit your website – if you don't provide either of these forms of communication then you may well lose potential customers as a result.
