Competitions, Awards, And Announcements: Online Press Releases
November 5th, 2008 by Click Consult
Writing and submitting press releases can help to provide surf through traffic for your website while building links and brand awareness. A single press release may generate a short term level of traffic but the most effective online press release campaign will include multiple submissions over an extended period of time offering newsworthy, well written content to benefit all readers and attract many visitors.
Finding newsworthy topics on a consistent basis can prove difficult, although once you get into the swing of the writing and submission process it will become easier and more intuitive. As well as considering the topics that are currently breaking around the world look within your own company to find interesting pieces that would make popular reading.
Your business or website is a viable section of the industry in which you operate, no matter how small. For larger business, press releases can prove especially beneficial but even smaller business can benefit. While it may prove fruitful to avoid more personal stories you should consider any competitions, awards, and new product or offer announcements to be excellent press release filler.
Competitions and awards always make popular press stories, both online and offline. You might even consider setting up a regular competition affording you the benefit of being able to report on winners and competition details – ample footage for a single press release as long as the competition is a good one. If your website or business has been nominated for an award this helps build your reputation and will often also build intrigue in potential customers. Offers and new products have obvious appeal for those potential visitors that are interested in what you have to offer.
