The internet has managed to wiggle its grip into most people's lives and many cannot imagine living a week without it. The internet and information technology has become an integral part of our lives today and with that comes great opportunity. It has opened up invaluable opportunities to enhance our personal, professional and business lives.

The internet and all that it encompasses provides businesses with their greatest marketing tool. Along with the power of the internet over our daily lives has come the Blogosphere. The blogosphere is the single most powerful element of the internet at the moment. No entity stands a change against the far reaching and acidic tongue of the world's online blogging community. So where do you turn to get your name out there and spread the word about your business?

The good, the blog and the presses

An online press release is an excellent way of marketing your company or business without it being a blatant advertisement. Blogs are seen as a threat for our online press releases; however, it is doubtful that they will ever replace them. Blogs concentrate more on personal opinion, preference and experience. Blogs are far more personal and usually contain fewer newsworthy titbits than press releases.

Your press releases sent out through reputable media websites are a safe and efficient way to get your message to a broad audience. If blogs were press releases they would be called the same thing and not by different names. They are not the same and the press release will always have its place in business and in daily life.
