‘Out there’ in cyberspace is a really big place that is, you can drift around for years waiting to pull in customers, or you can use what methods you can to harvest customers.

An online press release is a fantastic way to raise a lot of interest and if people are interested, they are potential customers!

What does a press release do? It informs people. You may not actually know how many people you are reaching, but those that you do reach will be interested in your product. During searches people ask for information on a particular topic. Through these searches an online press release will gain you one result per search on each news engine or news website.

These odds far outweigh a news release published in a local newspaper as you are attracting the people who are just interested in your product or service and who basically pre-qualify themselves.

The frequency in which you get press releases published has a definite impact. The more consistent you are the greater your chance is of getting to the top spot in a news engine. If you do that you gain greater hit rates on search engine enquiries.

Press releases are the start of building relationships with your targeted audience and this pays off in the long run. But integrity is needed. It is not enough to just have your company recognised by name, the transparency press releases require of you is what builds relationships, and relationships lead to referrals and referrals lead to reputation and reputation leads to long term business dealings.
