When you think of press releases, you probably imagine… well, the press. The media were, after all, the original targets for all press releases. This perception has hung on since press releases made their way onto the net. Another opportunity the internet provides is the chance to make online press releases out of any material you desire. Although most of the content on the internet is text-based, this doesn’t mean that you have to restrict your online press releases to text forms. An online press release can be in video format, podcast, or a PowerPoint presentation. Even within the traditional form of a page-based press release, computer technology gives you the opportunity to embed interesting elements.
