Internet jargon is not only frustrating for the new marketers but for seasoned ones as well as new terms are created all the time and some of them have broad meaning that covers a few descriptions.

A few basic jargons used regarding advertising charges

The abbreviated words are most probably the ones that take longer to become familiarized with. One of the first terms to know would be ROI. It means ‘Return of Investment’ and is the main reason for the campaign – to increase the ROI. The conversion rate is used for describing the number of sales that taken place on your site. CPC and CPA are related to customer performance on the site. CPC stands for ‘cost per click’ and it refers to the amount that the website owner will pay the marketer for every customer that is attracted to the site.

CPA is ‘cost per action’ and it refers to the fee charged for every client that actually purchases goods or subscribes to the site. PPC is a common term used and stands for ‘pay per click’. The owner pays for every customer that clicks through the entire site.
