How many times have you landed on a website and you are hit be jargon that makes your head spin? You see “industry-standard methodologies” and “systems with inherent functional best practices” and you click off that website as fast as you can move your mouse.
Well think about your own website; are you losing visitors because they took one look at your website and was blinded by jargon? You are a business person and you want visitors to come to your website and stay long enough to become a paying customer.
When it comes to online marketing the list of jargon seems endless and there is no shame in admitting you do not understand half of what is being said. It is inevitable that any industry will develop jargon, it just makes it easier for a group of insiders to communicate faster amongst themselves, but to any outsider it is bewildering and in a strange way makes a person feel a bit inferior.

When it comes to your own online marketing campaign it is wise to make use of a consultant with whom you can actually communicate. You are the client here and as well all client relationships, what the client wants is king.
You will immediately be able to tell if the consultant you want to use for your marketing campaign is approachable or not in the way he communicates with you.
