Remember All Your Customers

When creating an email marketing campaign it is easy to consider only the prospective subscribers to your newsletter. However, many past customers as well as your existing customers are all potentially profitable. Periodically it is worth spending time to send an email to a previous client reminding them of who you are and what you can offer them now. If you have a product that may be valuable to your client, then send details. If you can offer something free of charge, then that is even better.
There does come a time of course when you realise that a person is never going to make a purchase and is probably not ever going to read your emails and the most cost effective solution in this case might be to delete their details from your system. A good email marketing campaign will track statistics of who opens your emails, who has never opened an email and the people who have made purchases and when.
When sending out emails to clients who have purchased from you in the past, you could try to make the email seem as though it has been written especially for that person, addressing their interests and offering them something which is ‘just for them’.
