How You Can Use Email Marketing To Make Potential Customers Feel Special
February 23rd, 2009 by Click Consult
Building a successful email marketing campaign takes work and innovation. It is not enough to simply have a large and impressive list of subscribers. Uploading a few smart messages into your auto-responder will not make your business lucrative.
Having an online business means there is no face-to-face interaction. You have to build a relationship with your clients through your emails. You have to convince them you are just a normal person like the guy next door.
You have to show him you are anxious to serve him and satisfy his requirements with your products or services. You do not have to be a smart-mouth salesman to do this. It is all about treating your subscribers with dignity, kindness and above all, be helpful with a ‘smile’ in your email voice. You may find that bringing in a professional email marketing company is the best way to take the hassle out of managing your campaign.
Be a memorable experience
Put yourself in your subscribers’ shoes and think about how you want to be treated when you go shopping. Salespeople are notorious for their “couldn’t-care” attitude. Swing this around and treat your subscribers so that they come to associate you with service that goes that extra mile. Bring a personal touch to your emails, speak directly to the subscriber, it shows respect.
This way they start associating you with certain products. Once that association has been made, trust develops and you have an increased chance of them becoming a repeat customer. It is the small things that touch their minds that they will remember.
Generosity is appreciated; offer them something extra that they will find useful. Structure your mails so that people will read them each time. Make your mail interesting, funny or bring a smile to their faces. It is all about building that crucial relationship that make your subscribers feel valued.
