How To Be Email Friendly
February 22nd, 2010 by Nick
One of the easiest ways to build your reputation online is to create an email marketing campaign. It is low cost, instantaneous messaging that can be sent to anyone in the world at any time of day or night. You can achieve all this from the comfort of your home or office with very little investment.
Many marketers send out emails with very little thought or preparation behind it and then wonder why they haven’t had a high response rate. Sending out emails in this way to your subscribers will result in a low opening rate and poor sales. To achieve a high response rate, an email marketing campaign should be well planned. Put thought into the creation of your emails, from your subject heading to the actual content of your emails. It takes a lot of effort to attract and retain a person’s interest, especially if they are really busy and only reading the emails they recognise. The remainder will probably end up being deleted.
Whilst creating emails, great care should be taken to avoid subject headings that are sensational and make false claims as this will make them seem like spam mail. Making sure that your subscribers know your contact details is another way to make sure they open your emails, as mail from unknown senders will again be deleted.
