How To Avoid The Sensationalism Trap
There are many marketers who take the time to create an email marketing campaign that is well thought out and abides by all the rules and regulations regarding the use of unsolicited emails only to ruin the whole search marketing campaign with a careless subject heading and body of the email. Using unnecessary punctuation such as exclamation marks, several in a row or pound or dollar symbols, especially several in a row will create a feeling of sensationalism and false claims.
If you have products that offer value and are of interest to your subscribers you shouldn’t have to resort to over use of punctuation. A subject heading is critical in the recipient recognising your email and realising that the content may offer some information that they require in order to improve their life somehow. A sensational claim or a row of dollar signs will not convey that message; it will give the impression of dishonesty.
The text of your email should be carefully worded to give the information necessary to create an interest in further knowledge about your products. Each email should outline the benefits to be gained from your products and the value without any false claims or sensationalism. This should be followed by a firm call to action two or three times throughout the email.
Here at Click Consult we have professional experts in email marketing and are able to carefully word your emails to give all the details necessary whilst leaving the recipient wanting more information, which is where a call to action is required.
