Ingenious Ways Of Getting People To Opt In To Your Email Marketing List

February 2nd, 2009 by

The buzzwords in email marketing are ‘list building’. Without those precious lists you would not have a business at all.

Your subscriber lists are your foundation upon which you build your email marketing strategy for marketing your products and services. There are several ways to make it attractive for your target group to want to sign up with you.

Attract subscribers

There are a few tried and tested methods to get subscribers onto your list. Write articles that show your subject expertise and submit to websites such as Buzzle and Ezines. You include your web address and this brings in people in your target group.

Social networking websites are a good way to draw attention. Use sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Suidoo that are high ranking. Always provide a URL to your website for interested browsers. Another excellent tool is an AdWords campaign using keywords that are totally focused on your prospective buyers.

This is an economical tool to use as this leads to a high conversion rate for you. To throw out the largest net to gain subscribers you go into affiliate marketing. You sell the products of the affiliate, but the subscribers go onto your own list.

Email marketing rests on trust and is invaluable for your business. Each of these methods is a legal email marketing tool that builds a relationship with your prospective clients. It should never be abused for it will be near impossible to repair the damage and loss of customers.
