Content is King for Successful with Email Marketing

Just as people who surf the web are attracted to sites that are well designed and easy to navigate they are kept there by good content, and good content will supply them with the information they are looking for. The same applies to email marketing.

So in order to compel recipients to purchase your product or subscribe to your services, you need to have very well presented content which grabs their interest and gets straight to the point.  Just think of a newspaper and a glossy magazine.

While the newspaper contains very relevant and important information, the glossy magazine gets more attention.  Remember that a reader takes only a few seconds to make a decision whether or not to delete your email, and this gives you the same amount of time to make an impression, hold their interest and advertise your product.

What is Good Content all about?

Content which has been written by inexperienced or amateur writers is not good enough and will not be as effective as content written by a professional who has a lot of experience in this type of content writing.

The content should be rich and easy to read and should contain detailed information about your product in short sentences.  Include something catchy and add colourful graphics as ‘a picture paints a thousand words.’  Add some useful data, but leave them wanting more as this will pull them reader through to your website.  On this note, you must make sure that all your links are active.

Make sure that your email does not look like spam.  This only irritates people and will result in immediate deletion and another lost opportunity.
