Email marketing is perhaps one of the fastest tools available to internet marketing amateurs and professionals who want to establish a relationship with their subscribers.  This starts with setting up an auto responder which has the ability to send out emails at specified intervals. You set up the sequence of follow up emails which are then sent out automatically in response to someone adding the name to your list, or opting-in.  What this gives you is permission to send them emails on a regular basis and in the process build a strong and lucrative relationship.

Email marketing can be used in various ways

You can use email marketing can be used not only promote products or services but can also be used to provide information, advice or content.  Email marketing is also a very good method for getting to know your subscribers and allowing them to get to know and trust you.

If you win the trust of your subscribers you will increase sales and in a environment where many are offering the same or similar products, this is invaluable.  If you are honest and reliable you give your clients less incentive to shop elsewhere.  Your emails should be well set out, well written and professional.  No spelling mistakes or sloppy grammar.

Teach your subscribers what you know, tell them about your credentials and offer whatever knowledge you think they might benefit from.  Let them think you are an authority, but avoid taking credit for someone else’s work.

Be personable and approachable and stay in touch consistently.  Email marketing is very competitive and you need to use whatever tools necessary to gain and build good relationships.
