Email Marketing: A lazy Blogger’s Dream!

October 6th, 2008 by

For me there is nothing better than travelling. I did a whole year of it and if i am being honest I wouldn't mind if I was still out there! China, Fiji, Australia – places that make you want to write home and tell all your friends and family about what these places has to offer.

There was just one problem – I was just too lazy to let everyone know!! I sent one email and after that I couldn't bothered! It was a shame because I don't think I did these places justice by letting everyone know just how great they were. If there was only an Email Marketing opportunity for us lazy travellers who couldn't be bothered to tell people what was going on?!

Whilst not as exciting, Email Marketing can provide that kind of service for businesses. If there was someone who offered to write my group emails back home to my family and friends whilst I went out and saw a few more of the sites in exchange for a few beers it would have been worth the few extra rounds! At the end of all my travels I would have shared my experiences and perhaps given other people ideas about what they wanted to do.

Email Marketing lets your customers know the latest about your business, whilst at the same time making it a little more personalised for the benefit of your regular customers. Now such an option for a backpacking audience would make life much easier for the everyday traveller – letting someone putting the graft in, Email Travelling instead of marketing, but Email Marketing nonetheless!

Email marketing seems to be a topic about which many bloggers want to know. Email marketing can also cover advertising on email newsletters or follow-up emails to your own customers. One of the disadvantages to email marketing is something called spam. Spam is the word for both a tinned meat and email that is sent out to a huge number of people with little discretion. So your email title, subject and description should be unique, relevant and informative.
