If you treat your affiliates with respect and remember that your actions could have an effect on their livelihood you will build a caring reputation, not only retaining your current affiliates but gaining new ones too as word spreads.
Provide your affiliates with fresh, up to date technology to help with promotions such as RSS feeds, widgets, video and other new methods. It is no longer enough to provide a few banners and hope that will attract customers as affiliates will go to the merchants who have the better promotional tools.
