The Smart Affiliate Money Is In The List

Affiliate marketers are in an enviable position, in so far as once they have a well established list of names and email addresses they can continue to sell to their subscribers long after the first purchase. Ecommerce owners, service providers, and business website owners can enjoy the same privileges to a degree but the smart affiliate marketer will pay close attention to the building and management of their email list.
Attracting traffic to an affiliate website is often done to try and pre-sell one or more of a range of affiliate products. A visitor reads a review or an article and then, if they're interested, they click the link through to the page belonging to that product on the affiliate program's site. Once they purchase or decide that product isn't for them they are yesterday's news.
By introducing an effective lead capture form or squeeze page and gaining permission to email with further relevant promotions, the marketer is able to send periodical emails including details of other products. As long as the products are related and offer genuine quality as a standalone item then there's no reason that you can't feasibly sell several items to just one customer.
Email lists offer a lifetime of revenue from each subscriber. With careful consideration and close attention to selecting the right products to promote, an email list could even survive long after the original promotion that brought a customer to your website and with each email received a subscriber becomes more inclined to purchase.
