Improve Profits By Implementing A Squeeze Page

September 4th, 2008 by

Many affiliate marketing websites include a sales page of one description or another. Whether it's a direct, extensive sales letter or a more informative and less direct sales page the intention is the same; visitors read the page, form an interest in the product that is being pre-sold, and then click through to the merchant's website in order to complete a purchase.

The problem with this scenario is that few of your visitors will be ready to make a purchase after such a short relationship with your affiliate marketing site. Extra pages filled with supporting evidence and information can help to further bolster your efforts but the squeeze page is a greatly under used tactic in the arsenal of affiliate marketing websites.

A squeeze page is a short page that is dedicated solely to capturing a visitor's details (usually their name and email address) so that you can contact them again in the future. The squeeze page typically offers something in exchange for this data including free email courses, access to a report, or some other free offer.

Squeeze page content doesn't have to be directly sales orientated because it's primary job is not to sell but to gather information. If anything, then it should be used to sell the free product that you are giving away – unfortunately, surfers are disinclined to just give away their details and may even turn down free information or free products unless they really offer a decent incentive.
