Using Email And Newsletters As A Form Of Affiliate Marketing

Using a diverse range of marketing techniques offers the greatest potential to affiliate websites. If one method suddenly realises a dip in traffic levels, there are numerous other traffic sources available to pick up the slack. One area of marketing that every affiliate marketer should consider is the newsletter or email list.
List building has long been billed as being the driving force behind the Internet's most successful affiliate marketers. Build an ethical, opt in list of people interested in a topic related to the products you are promoting and you have the potential to keep making money from the same leads over an extended period of time.
Blogs and feeds have become more popular than newsletters, but there are still many website visitors that would rather sign up for a regular, email newsletter than bookmark a site or subscribe to a feed. A lot of people will opt for both if it's a topic that they are really interested in. Because diversity is key to success, providing both options is a good move.
Newsletters and emails ensure that your website is never far from the mind of your leads. As a form of branding a regularly delivered newsletter can really drive sales and commission cheques from your most important affiliate programs. It is important to only contact those that have opted in to receive marketing communication, and also to remove those that opt out in the future.
