Affiliate marketing can best be described as a process where leads of potential buyers are sold to a company for a commission. To put it in even simpler terms, it is a situation where a potential client is put in touch with a business through a marketer.
This particular type of marketing was thought to be highlighted by one of the biggest online businesses today; Amazon.com.
The company firstly allowed smaller websites to register with them. Products were advertised and displayed on these sites and whenever a customer ordered any particular product, they were linked up with the actual seller (in this case Amazon). Amazon makes a sale and the small guy gets his commission.

Affiliate marketing has grown tremendously since the concept took off way back in the mid 90’s. Thousands of businesses today use affiliate marketing to boost their sales and increase ROI. To make money as an affiliate marketer is a relatively easy process and a bit of hard work, determination and clever marketing skills can definitely set you off on a good start.
The first step in setting up the business is to join some of the thousands of affiliate programs on the internet. Selecting branded and reliable ones that sell popular products or services could be the most challenging part of the business setup.
After carefully choosing your products from selected reliable merchants, advertising their wares or services is the tricky part. Sending e-mails to your subscribers is another option. Clever and catchy advertising skills ensure better sales.
