Not all entrepreneurs are born web designers. We all have our speciality and to get a fully functional website that is attractive and brings in the customers you need to find an experienced web designer who can give you everything you need.
The preliminary work
Before you even start looking for a web designer do a leisurely search of the Internet and have a look at various websites; make notes of those that catch your eye, what designs, colours, layout types, images, links and whatever else you personally find interesting and what you find is user-friendly.
It is a good idea to browse the websites of your competitors, as this gives you an idea what you are up against and what you need to better if you want to draw in the customers.
Once you have your outlines and criteria exactly as you want it, it is time to sit down with a few web designers and get their quotes. Never only get one quote, you must do comparative shopping, but keep in mind that you will get different quotes from designers, depending on the quality of the work they offer.
Bear in mind also that the cheapest quote is not always the right or best one to take. It is more cost effective to use the services of a more expensive designer that has in-depth knowledge and specialises in your sector than to go for a generic and cheaper designer. A professional web designer will answer any and all questions you have to ensure that your website becomes a success, for your success is also his success.
