When it comes to SEO, there are a few key aspects that are important to the survival of your campaign. One of these aspects includes keywords. Keywords are a vital part of any SEO application and need to be placed correctly and be relevant.

Many website owners make the mistake of not paying too much attention to keywords. You have to consider keywords very carefully as they can easily make or break your campaign.

How to go about choosing keywords

There is a certain procedure that needs to be followed when keywords are selected. The process begins with lots of research. No matter how minor you may think research is, it counts for a lot. Your keyword research includes getting to know what internet users are looking for. You may think you already know what people are searching for on search engines, but you may be misguided and end up with useless keywords on your site.

When you do your research, you need to make sure that you also look at key phrases. Keywords are only one word while phrases include more words. With more words you attract a more refined search.

After you research your keywords and phrases, you need to analyse them. Be aware of the competition that is also using the same words as you. You want to know how many people are using your selected keywords and the chance you stand against them.

Your last step is to apply to your SEO campaign and reap the rewards.
