The ultimate goal of any private sector website is to make money. A website needs to generate traffic and then convert that traffic into paying customers, all the while ensuring that marketing, development, and other costs are less than the total sale value for their customers. SEO is one of the most viable methods of building traffic to a site but it can be easy to get lost in the act of SEO and forget the goal of your site.

Building website traffic is only a portion of running a profitable online business. Fortunately, SEO does not require that you forego other optimisation techniques on your website. It is still more than viable to generate good quality content and development that will improve conversions and appeal to visitors while helping to improve rankings and generate profits.

The search engines themselves attempt to rank those sites that manage to offer information content so there is no reason not to. By creating good content on a regular basis you will not only improve your SEO but your site will be deemed as a genuinely authoritative and helpful site by visitors. Ensuring good navigation allows spiders to crawl and index your site but it also allows visitors to find their way around.

Some SEO is designed specifically to make life easier and better for your visitors and it is vital when undertaking any SEO campaign that you remember the ultimate goal of your website is to generate sales or make commissions. Visitor friendly SEO affords you the privileges of improved rankings and better conversions.
