SEO Link Structure And Page Ranking
Filed under: About Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) by Dan @ 9:23 am
The page ranking game is the fiercest and fastest paced in the game of online marketing. The goal is to get your website listed as high as possible to make you totally visible to any searchers who show interest in whatever products and services you offer. An important part of SEO is creating good back links and this can be a huge asset to you if used correctly. This count for any links you receive from other webmasters and domains as well.
Each quality link is important to boost page ranking
An interesting factor that many people do not realise is that you actually benefit twice from each link. The first time is when you get PageRank weight points as calculated by the Google PageRank algorithm. The second time the link benefits you is that it gives added boost to your ranking from the actual keywords that you have put inside the anchor text you used for that specific link.
It is not true that domain names get a special weight from the algorithm. The reason why domain names normally have such a good ranking and often rank number one, is thanks to the links. When the link anchor text contains your domain name it will boost you tremendously.
No one can afford to miss out on the opportunity to boost page ranking, so utilize it by placing your keywords instead of your domain name in your back links. Link structure is of such importance that in most cases it is better to leave this part of SEO in the capable hands of a highly experienced SEO consultant who knows exactly how to create the links your website needs.
