Pay per click advertising is gathering popularity as an internet marketing tool. However, before you can make an informed decision about employing PPC you need understanding. Understanding pay per click advertising is not the most difficult thing in the world.
But it does become overwhelming when you are faced with nothing but technical jargon. In order to understand it you need to find someone to speak your language, to explain it plainly. Forget the complicated and confusing jargon, here comes a real explanation from an internet marketing company who know the business well.
Explaining it plainly
Pay per click comes to you in many different shapes and sizes. One of the most popular forms of PPC advertising is to place your ad on the results pages of search engines. These are usually the advertisements that appear under the “sponsored links” section of the search results pages or SERPs. This type of PPC advertising sees you paying the search engine for the keywords you use in your advertisement.
They higher you bid for these keywords the better your ranking will be among the ads on that keyword results page. When searchers click on that advertisement they will be taken directly to your website. You can use the same concept in article PPC marketing by distributing your keywords through articles. Your readers click on the keywords and get taken to your landing page on your website.
Another form of pay per click advertising is by placing ads on other websites that receive high traffic volumes. All pay per click advertising works in the same way; you are paying someone to host your advertisement which is essentially a link to your website. You pay for each time a person clicks on that advertisement regardless whether it turns to a sale or not.
