What Makes a Successful Email Marketing Campaign?

Everyone wishes they knew the recipe for success, and in order for you to conduct a successful marketing campaign; you need to get people to open and read the emails you send them.  There is a host of other steps and factors involved that can help you make a success of your email campaign, these are only a few that may help you succeed.

What will help getting subscribers to read you emails is if they have specific information in both the ‘title’ and ‘from’ fields.  The ‘from’ field needs to stipulate your business name, or if you prefer, your own.

The ‘title’ field gives you an opportunity of grabbing attention straight away and the information listed there should be specific and attention grabbing, perhaps mentioning something about your product.  What you are aiming for is to give someone an incentive to open your email, and you do this by assuring them that your email is not spam.

Keeping a good reputation is important; so do not send emails to bad addresses as this may result in your ISP blocking your campaign as a result of spam complaints.

Test all your emails before your send them, make sure that any content, attachments of links are properly displayed and hyperlinked.  Build up trust with your intended subscriber by paying attention to their privacy and by making sure that they know what your privacy policies are.
Know and understand the laws that surround email campaigns, satisfy your subscribers by sending emails relevant to them, in the right format and at the right frequency.
