Filed under: Email Marketing Management by Dan @ 10:30 am
Spammers have caused endless trouble for all legitimate email marketers. Stringent legislation had to be put in place to try and stem the tide of unsolicited mail to people. Very few people today do not make use of spam filters for their email accounts.
Spammers are getting smarter and more inventive to avoid exposure. If you wish your potential customers to read your email you have to avoid all the known pitfalls. If you work smart more of your subscribers will read your email. Your reputation grows positively for being a sharp entrepreneur, who is up to date and plays by the rules.
Work smart
There is a basic list of words that will immediately trigger spam filters. Make sure that you never include any of them in your emails. Misleading subject lines will soon have people unsubscribing from your list. Always be constant with the email address you use and be totally transparent with your physical office address.
A personal signature will also ad value. The most important opt-out function must always be included. Structure your emails in such a way that your email marketing becomes a powerful and trusted tool. By working smart throughout you can fully utilise this major part of your online business. Watch the language you use in your emails.
Never promise anything that you cannot deliver. Remember to always keep your email campaign believable. It is not difficult to be highly successful in email marketing. Working smart and building up a relationship for being trustworthy is invaluable.
