Email Marketing Structure Is Important

In email marketing there are certain structure guidelines that you should consider following when compiling your email. These consider the fact that readers will only allow your email a certain amount of time to get its message across as well as the fact that all of the content in the email should have a point, or a reason for being there. Rambling or irrelevant email marketing messages will not usually generate good results although very occasionally there is the exception to this rule.

The subject of the email should nearly convey the body of your email, which in turn should provide the entire point for your email. While it should be short enough to be read very quickly even at a fleeting glance it should provide enough information to enable recipients to determine whether they wish to read the body of the email. Too few words does not create intrigue it simply causes irritation and the ignoring of your email marketing communication.

The body of the email should start with a greeting, highlight a problem that your readers have faced or a question they have asked themselves and then allude to the fact that you offer a service or product that resolves this problem or answers this question. You don't need to sell the product or service, because the relevant page of your website should be used for this purpose – the email you send should be used, instead, to direct readers to that page of your website that will be used to generate conversions.
