Basics For Your Email Newsletter
Filed under: About Email Marketing by Dan @ 9:39 am
Regular newsletters are an important part of an email marketing campaign. It is very easy to become overly enthusiastic and end up with a novelette instead of a newsletter. Pace of life is hectic for everyone; people are always hungrily looking for information. Yet we never have the time to do so at a leisurely pace. We want info right now and we want it fast, and we don't want to have to read through swathes of text to find what we want.
Now, rethink that saga you were about to write as a newsletter. Keep the facts in mind that people want information, but do not have the time to read pages and pages. Your newsletter should be presented in such a way that you attend to the needs of the reader.
Compact, well written and packed with information. Ultimately your newsletter and presentation thereof will depend on your target audience and your type of business. But if you keep within the three basic guidelines your newsletter will do well.
Framework
Always include a compact article featuring your services or products, but the angle must be about how these products add value to the reader’s life. The article must be highly informative, factual and not a sales pitch for your products. To reinforce this message include a case study. Give an example of the benefits a client has experienced from using your products.
The point is to establish trust between you and your readers; this is how you build greater credibility and make the most of your internet marketing efforts. Remember to provide links for readers to additional information that is related to your products.
Announce any up to date information about your business through your newsletter. This could be about a workshop coming up, an exhibition or where your next trade show attendance will be. This is the perfect criteria for a newsletter; fresh information, updates and testimonials.
