Communicating With Affiliates

Many affiliates are signed up to multiple merchants and receive communications from them all. It can be difficult to ensure that your communications are reaching, and being read, by your affiliates. When you recruit affiliates, try to set a number of weekly emails that will be sent out to affiliates with a round up of all the news that week. If affiliates know when you are sending an email, they will look out for it. If you have special offers or important news, concentrate on the subject heading so that your affiliates will spot it and read the information.

Use your brand name or image on the emails to clarify that you have sent the email, and make them easily identifiable as being from your company. Many people just don’t have time to read every email, especially if they also receive large amounts of junk emails and spam. Your brand will be instantly recognisable to them and, as such, will be read. When you have typed your message, check carefully for any errors in the spelling or details. Many affiliates will copy and paste your information without checking and any typing errors may be seen by customers and attributed to your company.

When you are providing details and information to affiliates, try to keep it to a minimum so you don’t overwhelm them. Deliver the information in a format which is easy to read and digest, such as using an Excel document. Here at web marketing company Click Consult, we have the necessary expertise to communicate with affiliates in a user friendly manner, whilst ensuring all product information and offers are up to date, keeping your business running smoothly.
